  Do you need to upgrade to get a domain? Or can you ‘purchase’ a domain from wordpress.com and connect it to the website without having to pay yearly for the upgrade?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can purchase a domain through WordPress.com directly. There is still a yearly fee for the domain itself.

  Please be clear on the fact that there is no free way to get a domain name and domain mapping upgrade.
