  • Hi there,

This question is difficult to answer as it requires knowing a bit more about the kind of site you are trying to set up. I’ll do my best to present a few choices and you can let us know which one applies to you best.

If you are using our Payments Block (powered by Stripe) and also have upgraded to our WordPress.com Pro Plan, we do not change fees for using this block. If you do not have that upgrade however, then it may be the case that there is a fee, more info here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/payments/#related-fees

Also Stripe does charge fees for all transactions, which you can find by visiting their website

If you use the PayPal Block, there are no fees, regardless of your upgrade level: https://wordpress.com/support/pay-with-paypal/#transaction-fees-tax-and-shipping-costs

PayPal does have fees on their end however, so you will need to contact PayPal to see what those might be in your part of the world.

For WooCommerce it can vary. The reason for this is that WooCommerce is set up to work with many different payment providers, and in most cases we do not charge any fees on our end, but the payment processor (Stripe, Square, PayPal, etc) may charge fees. If you are considering WooCommerce let us know more about your store and who you prefer to use to process your payments and with that info we can take a closer look.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
