If you wish to you can use Windows Live Writer for posting to your blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/
You can copy and paste from WORD into a blog post or page provided you know how to do that properly. Microsoft Word is a word processing program that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, and contain a lot of formatting code that’s not compliant unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
Go here and enable this > Settings > Writing
Formatting
_ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
“save changes”If what you are asking is how do I provide downloads of WORD documents from my blog to readers then see:
Accepted file types http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/Uploading documents
See here for accepted file types http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/ The following processes are outlined particularly for users who wish to upload a document and add its download link to a blog post or page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/Embedding documents
If you want to embed the document itself into a post, then you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs.

Thanks. I will try windows live and see how it goes. I am primarily concerned with how my posts look- I write poetry and the way they look is as important as the content. When I wrote on word press, everything was moved left and was straight up and down, changing all my margins. It was confusing because when I wrote in the draft section, I could indent wherever I wanted, But when I posted everything moved. Appreciate you reply.
