Not necessary since we can’t really do too much more.
Contact noscript. If you’ve whitelisted the domain and it isn’t honoring that setting then there is an issue with noscript.
-
freebornjohn, you are right about Java being a big problem. I feel safer knowing that WP here has completely disabled it. It does make your blog less flashy, but IMHO I would rather have a safe blog than a slick blog.
One last thought…I have noticed that some aspects of WP.com blogs load from s1.wordpress.com, s2.wordpress.com and s3.wordpress.com…maybe other subdomains too. I do not know very much about the WP backend, but maybe NoScript is blocking sub-domains within wordpress.com?
-
I can see what you’re saying but last night this wasn’t happening and I’m using the same version of Firefox (latest 2.x branch) and the same version of NoScript – nothing has changed at this end.
-
It works simply on the domain; subdomains are all included in the same block.
-
Last suggestion is to log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart the browser and try again.
-
I just downloaded the latest NoScript version under Firefox 3.0.2 and it works fine. I allowed all scripts on wordpress.com and it has no problems whatsoever. Is there a reason you are using the 2.x branch instead of 3.x?
-
@ tsp
I cleared cookies and cache manually (it happens automatically when I close the browser anyway) and it made no difference.
@ beemeister
Yes, I prefer 2.x over 3.x but will no doubt change over when Mozilla pulls the support from the 2.x branch.
I think I’ll fire up my SUSE sandbox next and see what happens with that.

All out of suggestions…although thanks to you, I know am running NoScript…they must have changed something for the better. It works great! Thanks alot for the tip.
-
One last thought, what version of NoScript are you using? I should have asked this earlier.
-
This too weird. I checked for the latest version of NoScript and there was an update available so I installed and now all is well. Something must have changed somewhere because it was working fine last night on wordpress.com.
Consider this one resolved and thanks for the help – much appreciated!
