Does advertising appear on static webpages as well as blogs?

  As a counsellor i need to make sure there isn’t inappropriate advertising tha would upset vulnerable clients.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, advertising will display on all sites hosted at WordPress.com. It’s the way we’re able to offer entirely free website hosting.
