does BENEVOLENCE theme block certain embed video code?

  I am currently using the Benevolence theme. I am successfully embedding YouTube videos into my blog. However, I am not able to remove the titles of videos with the “&showinfo=0” coding at the end of the URL, within the embed code.

  Something is blocking that additional coding from my attempted embedding. Is this being done by WordPress? or more likely the theme?

  Sorry to give a very incomplete answer, but no-one else has jumped in yet.

  I would be amazed if this is theme-specific.

  Doing a search on “youtube showinfo” brings up some problems with showinfo, not specific to any client of Youtube.

  YouTube itself has made some major changes over the past several weeks; I wouldn’t be surprised if it were something they had done.
