Does Blogger Have a Virus?
-
I have business class Symantac and in the past two days, it has detected two different blogger blogs that have some kind of bloodhound?? Symantac isolated them but they could not be fixed. No problems to my computer. Anyone else know what I’m talking about?

I don’t need to know how to fix it. I am just asking if any of ya’ll have gotten the virus alert while talking to someone on blogger?

I am using a wordpress blog…but answering a blogger. While answering a blogger blog from my wordpress blog…I get a virus alert. Is that clear now? Not trying to be difficult–but these blogs owners from blogger need to be notified it’s happening. They aren’t aware of it as I see it.

Blogger permits Javascript on their blogs, and it’s very common to find Blogger blogs that redirect or advertise malware, spyware and other junk. If your virus scanner says there’s a problem, I’d suggest you believe it.

Go to Symantec’s site or forum (not sure if they have one, but Avast does). There is usually news about the latest virus threats. If it is a possible false positive there may be an indication of that.

Ok, thanks ya’ll. I’ve never run across that before. Some of my friends have blogger blogs and I was visiting them when my Symantec lit up like a Christmas tree. I believed it alright! I shut everything down. Erased my cookies and temp files. Then I ran a full virus scan. The problem was quarantined. yea, for the firewalls and protection!
