Does changing my wordpress.com domain affect my subscribers?

I’m considering changing my domain but am wondering if subscribers will stop receiving notifications of my posts (and followers will stop seeing my posts) if I do. How will this change affect them?

Changing your domain will not affect your subscribers. They will still receiving your notifications even after changing your domain URL.
I would advise you to make a post announcing that you are changing your domain in order to give your followers a heads up. Otherwise, they may not recognize the domain change and wonder what blog they are following. Also, some of your followers may go directly to your blog via the domain URL, so informing them that the domain has changed will be helpful.
Lastly, if you are referring to your WordPress.com URL and you have a lot of people following you that are familiar with that domain, you might want to purchase a site redirect which will redirect anyone who visits your old domain to your new domain.
