Does export include graphics?

    The description says:
    “Export

    Create an XML file containing your posts and comments, and save it or import it into another WordPress blog. This path to exporting content is ideal for people who are merely backing up their text or who are moving to a new blog and and feel comfortable wrangling the migration.”

    I thought that XML was a text file. If so, Export from Tools does not realy exports the entire site. Or am I wrong?
    Also, it mentions only posts and comments. I hope pages are also exported.
