Does formatting change with a domain upgrade?
-
I purchased the Domain Upgrade yesterday afternoon and the re-direct is working perfectly. However, I noticed that there are some formatting changes between my purchased domain and the wordpress.com domain. Is this normal, and how do I fix it?
Namely, there is a table on the homepage that contains pictures on the left and text on the right. On the wordpress.com domain, the text is aligned close to the images, but on the newly purchased domain, the text is shifted far to the right. There’s also an issue with the image banner covering the blue line above the header links just beneath it.
Thanks.

It happens when I make the upgraded domain my primary domain, so giving you both URLs won’t work, I don’t think (because the wordpress.com will just redirect you to the upgrade). Instead, I’ll make the wordpress.com domain my primary right now. Hopefully you’ve already checked the the upgraded domain site after my previous post, but if not, just let me know once you’ve seen the wordpress.com site, and I’ll switch the primary back to the upgrade so you can see the difference.
Right now, the wordpress.com domain is set to primary.

Well, if you’ll re-read my previous post, I can’t give both because one will just re-direct to whichever is set to primary. Hopefully you’ve already taken a look at the one posted above. Below, I will post the upgraded URL with it set to the primary domain. The differences are in the top banner covering the top links, and the text on the homepage shifted over to the right away from the images.

I did read what you said above and have viewed the two side by side. Which browser and version of it are you using please? Different browsers and render webpages differently. I’m using Firefox 3.5.7 and don’t see anything problematic at all.
Did you know that there is no “www” in the URL? The correct URL is the one you see in your upper browser bar it’s http://thesoundmind.net.

Force of habit with the “www.” I’m using IE8 as my browser. I guess my problem is only isolated to that browser? That sucks.
