Does Google need to re-verify for my phone number to show?
-
I have updated the phone number for my business Rehabilitation Centre in Punjab (website: https://rehabilitationcentreinpunjab.com/). The number is correct and matches my website, but it isn’t live yet. Do I need to go through re-verification for the phone number to appear?

When you update your phone number in your Google Business Profile, sometimes it doesn’t go live instantly because Google may need to review and verify the change for accuracy.
- If the number matches what’s listed on your website and other online sources, it usually gets approved automatically within a few days.
- In some cases, Google may require re-verification (especially if the change looks significant, like switching to a new area code or different location).
- You can check your Google Business Profile dashboard — if re-verification is needed, you’ll see a notification or prompt to verify (via phone, SMS, or postcard).
In short: If there’s no re-verification request in your dashboard, you just need to wait a little while for the update to go live. If there is a prompt, you’ll need to complete the re-verification process for the number to appear publicly.
