Does having lots of pictures in your media slow your blog down when loading even if you dont use them? I guess this is also a SEO issue.

Wondering if i should delete photos or if i can keep them there for another day

    Cheers

Yes and I already told you this in another thread you posted.

Your biggest problem with your blog attracting and retraining readers, commenters and subscribers is the fact that you have multiple embeds and images that increase page loading time. Page loading time is a page ranking factor. Studies demonstrate that the average internet user will wait for a page to load is 3 – 4 seconds. See here for Strategies for reducing page loading time.

What does “even if you dont use them” mean? Are you talking about the images visible on your actual blog page or the ones in your media library? Naturally, timethief’s reply applies to the former only.

As far as the images on your page are concerned, file size also matters: why upload 580px-wide or 720px-wide images when you display them at 150px? Better use an image editing application to downsize copies of your images to a resolution of 72 (which is what all browsers display) and to the desired width, and upload and insert those copies. This will give you better image quality as well.
