Does Hum theme support sidebar widgets?

  Using the Hum theme, widgets that are supposed to appear in the sidebar, don’t work. They appear at the bottom of the entire blog. Is this a limitation of the blog by design, or is there a way to get widgets to show in the sidebar?

  Hum is a Twenty Eleven child theme and displays the site title, the header image and the menu in a left column (everything that Twenty Eleven displays in the header). This left column however does not include a sidebar. Both, “Main Sidebar” and “Showcase Sidebar” are displayed underneath the site’s content, as documented in http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/hum/
