Does importing from Tumblr delete the Tumblr posts?

  Hi- Hope you are well, whoever you are. :)

  I want to import my content from Tumblr, but will that literally take everything OUT of my Tumblr or just copy it over? I don’t want to lose what I’ve created there.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Creating a new WordPress.com blog using an import from Tumblr should not affect anything on your original Tumblr site.

  Thank you.

  I imported last night. Unfortunately, since Tumblr really doesn’t have a “Title” box I have to manually go through all 1300 posts and add Titles. If you have a suggestion on how to move through that quickly, I’d love to hear, but I think I just have to slog through. :)

  Wow, that’s a lot of posts to edit. Unfortunately, if the import didn’t have a title to begin with, there’s not going to be an easy way to add titles now other than to do so one at a time.

  Yeah, they were all photo posts with copy and there isn’t a place to put a title except in the body of the post. Oh well… Thank you!

  You’re welcome. I just wish I could help with that.

  For what it’s worth, you don’t need titles for your posts, but it does make it easier to keep track of them.
