    Well, in it’s most simplest definition, we could say monetization is basically making a profit off of your site. So, with WordPress, there are many ways to do that (e.g., advertising, affiliate links, sponsored posts, digital products, etc.).     Yes, you could monetize a site from anywhere in the world. However, depending on the method of monetization, some countries might be more favorable than others in terms of making a profit. For example, specifically with WordPress’ WordAds Program (advertising), the following is noted on their FAQ:

    North American ad placements currently pay out at a much greater level than ads from other regions.
