Does my Jetpack stat page count my own page views or just visitors
-
does the stat page pick up my own page views
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If your blog is private, yes. If your blog is public, it won’t register your activity as long as you’re logged in.
I hope that helps!

Thank you Zandyring for your help.
My blog is public and I’m not sure whether I’m being seen out there. I.m under BlueHosts temporary domain name right now until I can get my domain transferred over from GoDaddy. So I’m not sure that I’m showing up in search engines and getting visitors or whether the views that I see are just my own visits.
Is there a way to tell?
-
By default, Jetpack doesn’t count visits from logged-in visitors, but that setting can be changed by clicking “Configure” on the WordPress Stats box. If the box next to “Count the page views of registered users who are logged in” is unchecked, then your own visits, as long as you are logged in, are not being counted in your stats.
Just let us know if you need further help.

Thank you kathrynwp.
I think I’m going back to my blog on wordpress.com. It appears you have to know what you are doing here at wordpress.org. I think I made the jump too soon. I didn’t realize you have to add so many plugins. Heck, I didn’t even know what a plugin was until I experienced this. So I’ll be back when I get more experience at this blogging thing under my belt.
Thanks for your help. -
We’re very glad to see you come back to us, but of course I’m sorry that you felt overwhelmed at WordPress.org!
-
Haha! I sure was overwhelmed. You see, I’m learning to blog, vlog at the same time learning how to setup the web. Then I got to wordpress.org with all these plugins that I needed…..sheessssh! So, I’ll get comfortable at the wp.com, build my blog, get more experienced and then go back sometime in the future, at the point that I need more power.
Thanks for your help.
