Does my theme support drop down boxes?

  i am having a hard time creating drop down boxes. I need to know if the Dark wood theme support drop down boxes. If not can I switch themes with out losing my data?

  Dropdowns are supported when used in widgets that use them, like the Archives widget. You cannot, however, freely insert dropdown boxes in your posts and pages, since that html code gets stripped for security reasons.
