Does myblog.wordpress.com URL still work after upgrade to myblog.com?

  Hello. I’m considering upgrading my basic wordpress.com account (HardScienceAintHard.wordpress.com) to a personal domain (HardScienceAintHard.com, still on wordpress.com). Will people who already have the basic URL in their Favorites list still have visibility into my old and new stuff after I upgrade? Thanks.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes all the old URL’s will still work – visitors will be automatically sent to the custom domain name – you will actually have TWO address’s that work

  PS – search engine traffic will drop a bit when you add the domain mapping – it will take a few weeks I think to retrain the search engines to the new address – but both addresses will still work
