Does not accept my user name/email address although it has not be changed

I received an email saying my password was compromised and I would locked out of my blog. I tried to log on, but was told ‘user does not exist’. My email has not changed and should be valid. How do I get wordpress to accept my email, so I can continue my blogging?

What is the site you’re trying to access, and what is the FROM email from which you received the email you’re referring to? Can you also please tell me the email address at which you received it, and which username you’re trying to use to log in?
