• Hello @speedjunkiehikeandsail,

I tested the Twenty-Fourteen theme on my test blog, and I also get a white space on the right.

I checked the theme’s demo, and there’s really a space on the right, it’s not full-width.

This is the demo – https://i.imgur.com/TvhzolV.png
And this is your website –

Therefore, I don’t think there is any problem.

Regards,
Rose

@speedjunkiehikeandsail,
staff-imahappyengineer,

The space on the right side described by Tommy and seen in the screen shot of demo provided by Rose is not seen when viewing the front page of the site on my desktop PC screen with the latest Firefox and Google Chrome browsers at normal browser settings. However, if I zoom out one click on either browser (10% on Google Chrome), then the margin appears on the right. So this effect is evidently dependent upon screen size and browser settings.

• Thanks @musicdoc1. I now realize, I use Chrome on Mac with Retina display, so my resolution is wider. @speedjunkiehikeandsail what are you using?

However, the theme is suppose to be responsive.

You’re welcome.

However, the theme is suppose to be responsive.

It could be just an oddity in the theme design, or it could be a bug. You may call for staff attention if you like. : )

• Hi Tommy,

This is how the theme Twenty Fourteen is designed. All the contents are aligned to the left that’s why you’re getting that blank space on the right.

You can use some Custom CSS and align it to the center. To use Custome CSS you need to upgrade to either the Premium or the Business plan and then insert this code in the CSS box:

.site {
margin: 0 auto;
}

For more information about the Custom CSS feature you can read here:

https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

Let me know if you have more questions.
