does reblogging copy images?

  When someone reblogs a post, does the first image automatically get copied to the reblogger’s wordpress.com site – rather than linked?

  This appears to have happened when I last reblogged something but the image copied to my blog is copyright protected – clearly the other blogger does not want it there.

  If so is there a way to prevent the image being reblogged but still allow reblogs and excepts?

  I have read the reblog help information and it just says ‘except of text and media’ are reblogged, then later on mentions text only.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
