Does switching to an existing domain end the placement of random ads on blogs?

  If I map to an existing domain ($13 annually), will my blog still have random ads placed on it?

  No. The only way to eliminate advertising from the blog is to purchase and annually renewable No-Ads upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

  Sorry I typed “no” when I should have typed “yes”. The rest of what I typed was correct. To get rid of ads you need to buy a No-Ads Upgrade.
