Does Tarski theme show avatars in Comments?

Question: Does the Tarski theme have/support avatars in the Comments column on the Home page? I am assuming it does, since I have Tarski and the Avatar widget has a place where I can select the size of the avator as well as colors of background and text (although when I click into those blank white boxes, nothing happens.)
Problem: No avatars are showing up in the Comments column. There is a person who has written several comments and her avatar shows up in my Dashboard under Comments, but not in the Home page.
Thank you if you have any ideas for getting those avatars on.

I use Tarski and I have no problems with avatars right now. If it used to work for you and has been broken recently then you should contact Support.

Arifsali, I saw your Comments bar and did see those avatars and am wondering what happened with my Tarski page. It never did show avatars, not ever.
I also wonder how you got the widgets to be placed as footers. I tried to put the Archives in the footer, but it refused to go there.
Thank you for your help. At least now I know that Tarski *should* show avatars in the Comments sidebar.

I haven’t used the comments widget, but I did notice that the comments in your posts aren’t showing avatars either. Have you checked the avatar settings under Settings/Discussion? There’s an option to show or not show avatars and one for the default being blank; one of those might be overriding the comment widget settings.

After you verify above settings for Avatars (which should resolve your avatar issue). Go to Dashboard – Design – from the right hand widget column, drop down the list and select Footer Widget, click Show. Then add the widgets you want and click Save. Tarski has two widget areas to populate.

Oh my goodness! I didn’t realize that this was under the DISCUSSIONS category! I checked and aha! I did not have “Show avatars” checked, so I checked it and now I can see people’s avatars.
Now I am going to do what Arifsali said about the footers. :-)

Ok, I am going nuts. I am helping a friend with her blog sallycatway.com. Her commentators have their avatars showing but her own is blank. What do we have to do in order for her avatar to show up? Been researching this for an hour to no avail. All I’ve found is how to turn on avatar options but nothing about how the author can use her own avatar when she replies to her readers in the commet form.
