Does the Ecto menu open in the correct place on a smaller device screen?
-
Hi,
I’m using the Ecto theme on my self-hosted blog, and I wondered, actually, how is the menu designed to work when viewing the site on a mobile device (iPhone, for example)?
Currently, when viewing the website/theme on an iPhone or smaller device, pressing the “menu” button opens the menu underneath the header image – which is nearly out of the viewport. One of my users complained that she can’t see the menu on her device.
I’ve read the Ecto notes and it doesn’t actually state how the menu should appear when used on a device with a smaller screen.
Is this how it should work? Or, should the menu open up from the top of the screen, over the top of the header image but in what would be a more usable fashion in the viewport?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve reopened this as the theme isn’t available in the .org respository.
Can anyone help? I think it’s a CSS issue.

I’m seeing the same behaviour on the Ecto demo here: https://ectodemo.wordpress.com/ I’m asking the theme developer if this is the intended display and will keep you posted.

There are some mobile-menu changes coming to Ecto. I’ll keep you posted once they’re live.

The new download for Ecto is available, with some changes to the mobile menu. Hope you like it!
