Does the Personal Plan ($4/month) Allow Mapping An Existing Domain?

  I have a registered domain (purchased thru Google) already. I would like to map it to my wordpress.com blog website, but I’m using the free plan, which apparently no longer supports that functionality. Would upgrading to the Personal Plan ($4/month) allow me to map my domain to my WordPress.com blog website?
  And, if so, can I map it without having to transfer administration of that domain to WordPress.com from Google?

  Yes that’s correct. Upgrading to the Personal plan at $48 per year paid in advance will give you a domain credit that you can use to map a domain you already own elsewhere. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ To upgrade your free site: https://wordpress.com/plans
