Does the Reply to comments by email feature check headers?

    One question regarding reply-by-email comments: Are the email headers checked to see if I’m using a different email address than the one I appear to be?
    In context: I link my hotmail and gmail accounts so that I can send email as (email visible only to moderators and staff) (the email I registered with wordpress) right from my gmail. The headers say mailed-by: mail.google.com. Will replying from my gmail account still work when I try to reply to comments?

    You won’t reply by mail, well you will but what you reply by mail will be posted automatic on the relevant post.
