Does URL for Archived Posts Change?

  When a post is archived (a new month starts) does the URL change? If/when I want to make a permanent link from one post to another, will I need to go update them all, or should I copy long-term-accessible posts into pages so I don’t have to try to keep up with URLs?

  No, the permalink stays the same, so you do not need to do any manual updates
