Does wordperss ‘personal plan’ have security/privacy to stop junk emails?

I just receive some weird, possibly fake email:

I recently bought a personal plan, and a domain (from namecheap).

I read that you should always buy a plan/website/whatever with privacy/security so you are not spammed with trash from random people asking about you’re website.

    How did this email happen?

    Thanks

    Hi there!

It looks like you contacted us via email as well, and we responded to you there. We’ll get back to you via email if you have further questions about this.

I do, however, want to note that you have listed your email address at the bottom of your website. This can cause increased spam since bots that collect email addresses on the web for spamming can read the email address. We generally recommend using a Contact Form instead of sharing the full email address publicly.

Alternatively, you can mark the email you received as spam. Gmail’s spam filtering is pretty good, so the more you mark these as spam, the better the spam filtering will be.

I also noticed you’re using a personal Gmail address. Have you considered setting up an email address with your domain (so it ends in @cospanayi.co.uk)? It may be worth something to consider. :) We have an email service called Professional Email, which is free to try out for the first three months. Feel free to check it out here:
