Does WordPress allow Intimidation of bloggers on matters of public interest?
-
See attached. My blogs were commented on by news media and have been shared by Klout and other sites.
This “power blogger” tried to intimidate me to stay away from his friends, on a matter that was newsworthy.
The question is simple.
Does WordPress allow intimidation of bloggers on matters of public interest?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well that’s not a nice situation you’re in, sorry about that :(
The best way would be for you two to talk, since there is nothing in the ToS against that. The only thing that goes near that is this :
the Content is not pornographic, does not contain threats or incite violence, and does not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party
Since it’s not inciting violence or rights, you could talk with local autorities for diffamation if this is the case.
Sorry.

I have tried to talk to him.
He will not take down his blogs and retract.
He now has asked that I not contact him or his mom (I emailed her seeking an adult in the room), and have no reasonable way to resolve this.)
Interestingly the comments on his how to deal with trolls post include references to broken bones by a blogger.

OM wrote that blog shortly before he blogged about me and reblogged.
The bloggers response is telling, as he doesn’t seem to know that The Wine Wankers and I are being discussed by journalists.

He’s in his comments saying “he’s offering himself as a target” which is strange. Why is he interceding in a news cycle to such a degree?
I tried to explain that to him subsequently, but he’s not really listening.
I have no clue who he is, but his mischaracterization is disturbing.
My blogs have been shared by journalists, discussed, and The Wine Wankers asked for comment.
And many many of my blogs have been shared by @klout and other sites now.
I simply do not see why one blogger here can try to intimidate me from writing about newsworthy content that is widely shared and commented on.
-
The logical question to his comment of “stay away from my friends.” is “or what?” right?
It seems a clear open ended threat to me, here.
And he has been trolling me on my own blog actually. This was his response to a mutual friend, Vic Briggs, when I contacted her to attempt to help settle differences.

What seems to have brought OM into it was a total hack job hit piece by The Wine Wankers that they have now taken down at my request.

As you can see, this guy who shared The Wine Wankers blog thinks I will get what I ask for, and they are talking about broken bones on OM’s blog.
It seems pretty threatening to me. Do I have to suffer actual physical harm before WordPress will take action?

Ok, well I sought public content as part of the report.
Journalists are sharing and commenting and @klout has shared many many of the blogs.
Why he decided to intervent in a newsworthy event is beyond me. But he surely wouldn’t call his local newspaper and tell the editor not to report news.
And that’s what he’s done, though he doesn’t know it.
He has reblogged my latest blog which documents how they cyber bullied me right next to a post that he reposted that amazingly enough warns me to stay away from his friends.
I have no idea what takes support so long to act. But the rest of social media now knows what is going on here. As it’s news….
I started reporting him on 8/6. And Klout has carried many many of my blogs.

So the question is relevant. Does WordPress allow bloggers to attempt to intimidate, cyber bully and harass others from reporting actual newsworthy content?

-
No.
You have created multiple threads on the topic. You have filed multiple reports. Staff have seen them; if they were going to take action, they would have.
-
So according to you, Raincoaster, the answer is yes, they do?
Ok.
Well this is my second thread as I attempt to find out why a blogger would intervene in a news story by telling the other blogger not to blog about that.
