Does wordpress.com supports subdirectories (not within a multisite)

Hi there,
A subdirectory is just a different way to refer to a page on a site, i.e. if your site is at the domain example.com, a page titled “About” would be at the subdirectory, example.com/about
If that’s not what you meant, please provide more details on exactly what you’re trying to do.

hi Kokkieh
Sorry , ill explain better – I essentially need to point the same domain at 2 completely different sites:
https://www.mortgageadvicebureau.com.au
https://www.mortgageadvicebureau.com.au/melbourneThe host ‘Pressable’ for example would not accept this format unless we made the 2 sites into a multisite.
I am currently on namecheap who do allow this.
Cheers
Kiah

We do not support mapping WordPress.com sites to a subdirectory like that, no. As far as I know this is done by adding rules to the server configuration files directly, and we don’t allow access to those files on WordPress.com.
You can ask in the forums for the open source WordPress software at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ for the exact way to do that. The community over there should also be able to suggest some hosting providers that will allow you to do this.
