Does wordpress support a subscription based website?

  I know I can create a website with authors/ editors etc. But I want to know if I can have a subscription fee for certain parts of the site.

  A user would buy time of use and have acess to an area of the site where I would give acess to an online product.

  If I can track which account bought it using the e-commerce plugin and I can lockdown areas of the site to the general public and leave only a few with acess to that VIP area would be enough. I don’t need it to be automatic.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
