Does WordPress support VEVO embeds???

  I’m trying to embed a music video from VEVO. When I insert copy into the post, the VEVO code shows up in Preview. So I’m wondering: Does WordPress support VEVO? Do I need a plug-in or something? Please help!

  For starters we need a link beginning with http to the blog you are asking about that is hosted on WordPress.COM before anyone can even begin to think about giving you accurate help. The link with your name goes to a plain web page.

  There is no support entry for VEVO videos. Are these the instructions you followed?

  You can post just about any video to your WordPress.com blog using VodPod’s “Post to WordPress” button. The “Post to WordPress” button will work on just about any site that offers Flash video with an embed code. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/

  I didn’t follow those instructions. I just tried to copy/paste the code from the VEVO embed link. WordPress seems to not recognize (or process) the code correctly.

  If you jhust copy and paste the embed code into a post then it will be stripped out by the software.

  If you can’t use vodpod successfully then you could try gigya shortcode.

  Using this shortcode, you can insert any video that provides an embed code (not directly allowed in wp.com). You copy the URL and the dimensions of the video from the embed code, and you transform them into a working shortcode … http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/videos/

  Timethief, we’re almost there. I tried vodpod, but that didn’t work. But the gigya shortcode seems to be the trick… but for some reason, the VEVO video clip doesn’t seem to play. I copied the URL and the dimensions from the embed code. And the VEVO player does show up, but the video clip just won’t play. Help.
