It is my understanding that I can perform a back up of my website, but do your perform regular back ups of websites built out through you?

Can you provide instructions on how I can perform a back up, if I desire to do this as well?

  • Hi there,

Does WordPress use a private/BPS Account as the server for my website?

It is my understanding that I can perform a back up of my website, but do your perform regular back ups of websites built out through you?

I’m not sure I understood what you mean by BPS account, but on our WordPress.com managed hosting we do provide incremental and user-accessible backups for sites on our Business and Commerce plans. Our system offers these advantages:

    1. Comprehensive Backup: Jetpack backs up everything on your site, including pages, posts, media files, followers, installed themes and plugins, root-level WordPress files, and your site’s WordPress database. This ensures that all critical elements of your site can be restored in the event of data loss or other problems.

    2. Daily and Triggered Backups: Backups occur daily, offering a reliable data recovery point in the event of issues. Additionally, backups can occur multiple times in a single day if many changes are made to the site, assuring that your most recent modifications are saved and readily retrievable.

    3. Easy Access and Restoration: Backups are easily accessible from your site’s dashboard. This allows fast deployment of your backup in case you installed a theme or plugin that broke something, or if you’re missing content that cannot be restored via post and page revisions. It also provides an option to export the most recent content before restoration to avoid any loss of data.

Jetpack VaultPress Backup automatically makes a copy of your site, allowing you to restore it to the exact state it was in at any previous point in time. This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plan. What Data Is Backed Up? We back up the following data: Your pages,

Sites hosted on WordPress.com managed hosting also directly benefit from the performance, stability, and in-house support we provide with our custom version of the WordPress platform. More info here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/

Can you provide instructions on how I can perform a back up, if I desire to do this as well?

We are only able to provide backups of sites we host directly on WordPress.com, so our system would not be able to help with your Bluehost site (wispitbyangela.com) so you may need to contact them directly to see what backup options they provide for sites they host. WordPress is just one of the many platforms they offer for installation, so they may not typically offer a WordPress-specific backup solution, but they do typically offer some kind of “server-level” backup you can use to redeploy from.

If you are interested in moving to our managed hosting to take advantage of our built in backup system, as well as access to our WordPress experts (including 24/7 live chat option) you can use our plugin to help migrate your site with just a few clicks:
