Does wordpress.com support the use of Rafflecopter alternatives such as Giveaway

    Does wordpress.com support the use of Rafflecopter alternatives such as Giveaway Tools, Promo Simple, or PunchTab? I am trying to find an alternative to rafflecopter which can’t be used on wordpress.com. I know that wordpress.org supports it, but I’m not certain I want to make the switch.

    Hi there,

    Can you clarify what you mean by “support”? We do allow WordPress.com users to do periodic giveaways as long as the giveaways flow naturally within the content (aren’t the sole purpose of the site). However, I believe the majority of those services are going to require the use of javascript, which we block as explained here:

    So, you’re certainly free to have giveaways on your site. However, you may not be able to use internet tools specific for giveaways. An alternative would be to manually operate the giveaways or link directly to a giveaway campaign hosted elsewhere.
