Does wordpress.org include CSS customizing?

  • Unknown's avatar

Had to pay for upgrade when I was with wordpress.com. That upgrade expires tomorrow. Now that I’m with WordPress.org and hosted by BlueHost, am I correct that I need not renew that upgrade – that I’ll be able to keep my CSS changes and continue to use CSS customizing in my dashboard?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

Yes, since you are now on WordPress.org, your customizations are yours and you do not need to pay us to keep them up.

The only thing I will make you aware of is that your custom domain doingjustice.com, is going to expire soon (April 25th), and you will need to renew that in order to keep using that domain with your WordPress.org site. To renew that, just visit Store > My Upgrades from your dashboard and click on Renew Now next to this domain.

If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

What? My domain doingjustice.com is not registered with or through WordPress.com or WordPress.org. The registrar is enom.com and the the current registration expiration date is 12/18/15.

So I don’t understand what you mean when you say that its going to expire this coming April 25 and that I need to renew via WordPress.

My apologies. You’re absolutely right. I was confusing the Domain Mapping upgrade that is still on your account as a relic of when your site was on WordPress.com, which will expire on April 25th (it currently does nothing for you, since your site is not on WordPress.com). As such, you can allow that to expire and forget I ever mentioned it.

If there’s anything else I can help with, or clarify, please let me know.

No worries, mate. Hard stuff to communicate effectively by text sometimes. Have a great evening!
