Does WP offer a closed discussion groups feature, like Facebook groups?

  I want to have a closed discussion group, like Facebook groups, on one page, where members can post and respond, but which is not open to the public to view.

  No there is no groups feature here closed or otherwise. There is no forum that you can embed into a free hosted WordPress.com blog as there is no FTP access and we cannot install plugins.
