DOI plugins

  It would be good for wordpress.com to provide the Winnower Publisher and Piklist plugins, for serious bloggers to use Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  @feng701– I’m one of the lead developers of Piklist, and I’m curious to know what you want to use Piklist for? We are always interested in feedback.

  Thanks for replying. The Winnower Publisher website indicates that its plugin needs the Piklist plugin. Winnower’s plugin allow bloggers to obtain Digital Object Identifier for their blog posts — the DOI is a universal id system used in formal publishing — so that their independent posts can have a universal id like formal journal publications current can have.

  Thank you for the reply. I honestly doubt that WP.com will offer Piklist or Winnower. Best to host your own WordPress website.

  Can I redirect my current wordpress.com address to my own web address if and when I do so? There are many links already referring to the current address. Thanks.
