Doing the first post to an existing WordPress blog, from Word.

    I’m trying to put the title of the post in a photograph, so that it will appear the same on all devices, but I can’t position the title where it needs to be on the blog

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Each post has a title field, which will allow you to tell one post from another in your list of posts in your Dashboard as well as style the text consistently for all posts across all platforms. Using this field will also allow WordPress.com to create a unique and relevant address (also known as the permalink) for your post based on the title.

    This document will explain the post title in a bit more detail:

    Thank you so much for your reply. I don’t think that is quite my problem, but I undoubtedly need that information, as I am a complete newbie.

    My problem is that I believe my blog is at the mercy of the device it is read on as far as fonts go. I found a font I wanted to use in the title that I place above each of the posts (as opposed to the “title” that WP uses to keep track of the posts.

    To keep that font, I photograph it and position that photograph in the appropriate position in the post. Except that I can’t get it to stay in that position – it jumps to one side or the other, and won’t allow me to just drag it and drop it centered under another photo that I use as a heading for the blog.

    My more pressing need right now, though, is finding a way to have a chat with WordPress. I’m entitled to that, under the plan I have, and I did it very successfully recently, but I can’t find that option again.

    If you can help me with that, I’d really be grateful. You’re probably thinking, “uh oh, this is one of those guys that if you do one nice thing for them they’ll pester you forever”, and you’d be right. But I’m asking anyway.

    Thanks, Bill McKim

    I understand what you are trying to do, but by using images for your post titles, you are making it more difficult for you to manage your blog and significantly reducing the possibility that your posts will be discovered via search engines.

    There’s a lot simpler way to achieve what you want to do. If you are trying to use a certain font for your post titles, you can do this with the Custom Design upgrade, by choosing custom fonts and/or by using custom CSS.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

    If you want to style *just* your post titles using a particular font, you could do so. For example, try giving a post a title, and then dropping this code into your custom CSS:

    h1.entry-title {
    font-family: “Brush Script MT”, cursive;
    }

    Instead of Brush Script, you could use any of the fonts here by using the “copy to clipboard” option to get the proper font-family code:

    As far as Live Chat goes, the only users who have guaranteed live chat are those who purchase the Business plan for $300. Otherwise, the option is shown to only a percent of our current users.

    I am happy to continue to assist you with your issues here, however.
