Two days ago I bought a domain on Bluehost.

My desire was to have domain privacy protected. I
have chosen the name and extension ‘net’.
Next window asked for payment information, I paid and got the domain, but with the “blog” extension.
I did not pay attention to that.
After that I bought a WordPress Newspaper package and linked it to the domain “blog”.
When it was all over, I found that the domain was not protected, on Whois.net all the data is shown, which I do not want.
I have been informed from Bluehost that the ‘blog’ extension, which they gave me, has no privacy protection, although in the order confirmation I have this protection, so today they opened a new domain with the ‘net’ extension, as I wanted to beginning.

The domain ‘blog’ said they would close for two days
    .
My ‘Newspaper’ package is now associated with the domain I’ve been releasing in Bluehost.
Can I ever link ‘Newspaper with domain I will use -‘ net ‘?
Whenever I try to link Newsaper to the ‘net’ domain, I switch to ‘Blog’.
    Can you help me?

    Thank you

  • Hi there,

We cannot help you with a domain you bought from a different company, no. Please contact support at Bluehost for help with this.

I have been informed from Bluehost that the ‘blog’ extension, which they gave me, has no privacy protection,

Whoever you spoke to at Bluehost is mistaken. The .blog extension definitely has privacy protection – I own a .blog domain myself and have privacy active on it – but privacy protection on domains typically come at additional cost and it’s possible that Bluehost does not offer that service for that particular domain extension. But again, that’s something you’ll need to sort out with them. We have no control over domains not purchased from us.

  • Can you please tell the the .blog domain that was registered?

  • Thanks for providing that.
