  canceling domain

  I had a domain with wordpress under corinalander.com, and that domain expired a couple of weeks ago. I deleted the site from wordpress, but I still see the site on google and I can’t rebuy the domain from somewehere else because it says it is taken. What can I do to 1. not see my old wordpress site “corinalander.com” show up on google and 2. be able to purchase that domain again from another developer.
