Domain

If I buy the domain through WordPress.com but later decide to move to WordPress.org, how would be the transition? Do I need to host it somewhere else, would I still be billed from WordPress.com?
Also, if I buy the domain with WordPress.com (name.com), do I get any rights on urls that use the same name as me but .blogspot.com, for example?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If you buy the domain through WordPress.com and later decide to move to a self-hosted site, that would mean:
– You have to point your domain to your new hosting by changing name servers, check this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/ If you only change your name server, the domain continues to be registered at WP, so you still have to pay the annual fee (as in any other domain provider)
– If the registration of your domain is 60 days older, you can transfer your domain to another domain provider. Check this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/ . Your new domain registrar will be in charge of later fees on annual domain registration.
– You would install WordPress.org as your platform but the site would be self-hosted, hence you’ll need to pay for this hostingWhen you buy the domain, you are entitled to use all its subdomains. More information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/ which includes information for mapping sites/blogs to subdomains you own.
