  I create a free site and typed in headsandtales.com for the domain and for some reason it made it headsandtalessite.com

  I checked headsandtales.com and it’s not being used. I’m confused. Can you help change it?

  Hi there,

  I see only one site in your account, and it’s using the free address, https://headsandtalessite.wordpress.com/ You can change the free address at any time by going to My Site ->Settings and selecting the Change Address option at the bottom of the page.

  You did not register the domain headsandtales.com. That domain was registered with GoDaddy over a month ago, and you only created your account yesterday:
  https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=headsandtales.com

  If you are the owner of that domain you will need to buy the Premium Plan to map that domain to your free WordPress.com site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
