  If I purchase a domain name, can I transfer the current theme of the blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Domains and themes aren’t connected, so you’ll need to be a bit more specific.

  My current theme is greyzed, as in the background and format of the blog. If I pay for the domain, is the url the only thing that will change?

  Purchasing a domain does not mean you have to move the blog off free hosting here at WordPress.com, unless you wish to. If you are not moving the blog then the theme is not at issue. What are your plans please?

  Sure. If you’re staying here and just adding the domain, everything stays the same. You’re just adding another address over the front door.

  If you transfer somewhere, that’s different and things can change.
