Domain

Hello,
We would love to renew our domain name (pullmanmemorial.org) but we do not need to upgrade at this time (we are a tiny UU chhurch and don’t need a lot. I am confused by the different pages that suggest we can ‘renew,’ but when I try to find a way to do that, I find buttons for ‘upgrade.’ Can you help us out? We would, indeed love to stay and renew our domain with WordPress!
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I would be happy to assist you in renewing your subscription. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into renewing the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Hi there,
I looked up that ticket number and it did not come up with that conversation. I also checked darrelldyke‘s account and did not see the ticket under his account.
Is it possible to have him post in this thread for confirmation?
Thanks,
-
Hi, I am Darrell Dyke, owner of pullmanmemorial.org
I was given that ticket # by Rich C. yesterday

Hey Darrell,
Could you post in this thread under the username darrelldyke? Nothing is pulling up even under the email you provided. I take it there is no username associated with the email?
-
This is the website connected to the website. My other email is darrell.dyke
and darrell.dyke2 -
You could restart by explaining to me how to post in this thread under the username darrelldyke. We just switched ownership when our pastor left abruptly (you certainly have record of this switch?)I saw emails of the name being switched.
This is frustrating and is taking far too long. do you have anyone who can live chat? -
Maybe it would help to know the previous owner’s name? Harvey L. Richards. We worked under Trevor (another illustrious happiness engineer) to get things changed over…
ticket # 2735277 was yesterday’s ticket # from Rich C. -
And isn't it strange that I cannot empty my shopping cart? or even cancel a purchase.I need to be in contact with someone who can help, not delay me further.

Posting over and over again is not going to result in getting help any more quickly. Please be patient while waiting for Staff (darnelldibbles) to log in and follow-up here. Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when he responds. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

I am subscribed. Sorry for being anxious. WP keeps insisting that our domain in expiring in three days and it has been taking weeks to get an answer
Again, I apologize.
Is there any way to chat real-time? -
Yes but why would you want to start chatting with a different Staff member. When on does that all continuity is lost and a run around is created.
-
Okay, thank you.Do you know what was meant by the request to reply to this topic as [username]? I started by contacting through email, not forum, I feel shunted to the forum.

Companies, groups and organizations of any kind do not own blogs. Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and purchase or renew upgrades at > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
If you did not register that site under your username account have the person with the correct username account who actually owns the blog add your account to the blog https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site by making you an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator
After doing that the blog’s actual owner can transfer the blog to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account and can transfer the upgrades to another username account.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-accountIf you have more than one username account and it is involved here then you need to log out of this account, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and log in as Admin under the relevant username account.

, I feel shunted to the forum.
Frankly assuming that only Staff can answer support forum questions correctly is not based on reality. While it is true that Staff have access to tools and private information Volunteers do not have access to I have answered questions here for over 10 years. I predate all staff members on support staff except one, I predate all support documentation. There’s rarely ever a question posted here that has not been previously asked and answered on these peer support forums.
Bottom line: As this thread seems to reveal a wonky type of process was used by someone who does not actually own the blog my advice to wait patiently for Staff to get back to you still stands.

I didn’t mean to offend or call into question your ability to help.
I was recently made the owner and all content and domain registry, etc were to be changed. My name is in the registry.I will wait.
