    I set up my domain which is through godaddy to a wordpress.com site I now want to use that domain on a wordpress.org site I am having trouble setting that up and everything I have been trying leads me back to wordpress.com saying ‘The address troikawines.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!’
    any help with setting up my domain to be connected to wordpress.org instead of the .om would be much appreciated!

    Whichever web host you are using to host your site will have ‘name servers’

    For example

    ns1.examplewebhost.com
    ns2.examplewebhost.com
    ns3.examplewebhost.com

    You need to find out what they are – ask your web host – and then go to your account with GoDaddy and click on the domain and change the DNS settings to the name servers of your web host.

    Note that it takes a little time for the changes to filter through the web.
