  Hi, I purchased a domain today with ‘GoDaddy’. I would like to transfer but I understand I need to wait 60 days, in the mean time I can connect that domain over to WordPress. I am having issues with the mapping icon and it is not giving me the option to add or go to stage 2.

  Hi there:

  You should be able to use the domain here at WordPress.com by upgrading to a WordPress.com plan on your site (Personal, Premium, Business, or eCommerce.) then add domain mapping to use your domain here.

  Here are the steps you can follow:

  Note that you need to update your domain nameservers at GoDaddy to point to your WordPress.com site. After that 60 day lock is up, you are free to transfer the domain to us if you choose, or keep it at GoDaddy.
