    I am trying to determine if it’s actually expired or if it’s still active. Can someone please assist me? Chateaudevie.com was the name

    Hi there,

    That domain is not registered with us and never was. You had that domain connected to us using a domain mapping upgrade, which means you had registered the domain itself somewhere else.

    That said, it does look like that domain had expired at whichever registrar you were using. After it expired it was bought by a dropcatching service for a domain squatter – people and syndicates that buy expired domains to sell them back to the original owners at a profit.     If you want that domain back you will need to contact them and buy it from them, but be aware that many domain squatters are scam artists, and even those who aren’t are likely to ask you much more for your domain than you had originally paid for it, but it’s your call if you want to try that.
