  Can I use my own domain for the personal plan?

  Hi,

  By “own” do you mean that this domain already exists or not?

  Either way, it is absolutely possible with a personal plan!

  If you don’t own any domain yet, you have to register it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

  If you want to use the domain you already own, you have to “map” it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Make sure to set the primary domain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

  Hi, thanks for your response.
  I am about to purchase a “.lk” domain, so can I link this domain to the website that I create and host through the “personal plan” or do I need to upgrade?

  Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or map one you already own.

  Therefore, the personal plan works!
  Please have a look at all plans available: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  The domain extension “.lk” is not available for registration on WordPress.com, so you have to register elsewhere and add it to your WordPress.com blog using Domain Mapping.
