  Hi there,
  I would like to use my own domain and host company. Do I need to still purchase one of your package ? or what is the best way to add my own domain to the site I will set up on WP.

  Hi there,

  It will help if I clarify that we’re a fully managed service that makes starting a WordPress site easy, but we’re not connected to other hosting providers. With that in mind any upgrade you purchase here would apply only to sites you start under your WordPress.com account, like gyaszesgyogyulas.wordpress.com.

  If you prefer, you can set up a self-hosted WordPress site, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc. Those are a bit different because they use the free open-source WordPress app (which you download from WordPress.org instead) that is more advanced and is usually the choice of web designers and developers.

  If you decide to host elsewhere you would not need an upgrade here, but if you you are new to WordPress I think you will appreciate the in-house support we provide for any questions you have about setting up your site. :)

  If you would like to remove “wordpress.com” from your site address and use a custom domain instead, you can add that here: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/gyaszesgyogyulas.wordpress.com
