Howdy!
No problem :) Since you already own a domain through GoDaddy you would proceed with domain mapping in order to use that domain on your WordPress.com account.
The domain credit included in our WordPress.com plans can be used for domain mapping or to purchase a new custom domain.
You’ll want to add WordPress.com Personal (or plan of your choice) to your account and then proceed with domain mapping.
Let me know if you run into any trouble along the way!

One more bit of information. Since the domain was purchased through GoDaddy you will renew your domain registration with them, and also your domain mapping / plan upgrade here with WordPress.com each year.

thanks for your response. Will check it again one more time. I have done the domain mapping, however it didn’t work.

Hi there – Are you able to add the WordPress.com Personal Plan from here?
Click on the upgrade button and proceed to checkout.
Another option to add your mapped domain is by going to My Sites > Domains > Add > Already own a domain? Map it.
Let me know if you run into trouble or get any error messages.
